We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Operations Manager to join our Thames Water team in Greenwich Storm.
As the Field Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of Sewer Technicians to deliver excellent customer service and operational performance across the northwest catchment within strategic pumping and trunk sewers.
You and your team will be the face of Thames Water as you'll be working directly with customers and stakeholders daily.

- 36 hours per week Monday – Friday
- Permanent, full time position
- Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is required
What you’ll be doing as a Field Operations Manager
- Be a role model and ensure the team performs in a manner representative of Thames Water's company values and professionalism
- Performance managing and Performance Development of a field operations team
- Monitor and steer performance against key metrics
- Promote a culture of engagement and motivation within the team
- Conduct regular site visits to assess the quality of work being completed by your team
- Ensure the health, safety and well-being of your team are always maintained and that safe working practices which comply with company procedures are followed
- Identify and support the implementation of new initiatives to drive operational efficiency and customer service improvements
- You will split your time between the office and the field with your team, enabling you to provide direct support, engagement, and performance management both as a team and on a one-to-one basis
- Possible participation in an Out of Hours Co-ordinator rota
What you should bring to the role
- Excellent people and team management skills
- Ability to lead, develop and performance manage field-based operatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role
- Be well organised and able to manage your time and multi-task
- You will be fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office as well as planning and reporting software
- Previous experience of liaising with internal and external stakeholders is also highly regarded
- Health and Safety qualifications such as IOSH / NEBOSH are desirable
- Demonstrating the ability to handle and manage change effectively in a field team
- A full UK driving licence
