We’re looking for a Trade Effluent Billing Technologist to join our team and help ensure our business customers are billed accurately and fairly for trade effluent discharges.
What you’ll be doing as a Trade Effluent Billing Technologist
- Making sure Trade Effluent charges are calculated and raised correctly for non-domestic customers.
- Communicating with retailers, other water companies, and internal teams to resolve billing queries and ensure compliance.
- Responding to retailer enquiries within set service levels, providing clear and accurate information.
- Supporting Trade Effluent team in meeting regulatory obligations under the Water Industry Act 1991 and MOSL Market Codes.
- Building strong working relationships with retailers to improve performance measures (such as BRMEX scores).
- Delivering excellent customer service to retailers and customers, helping to maintain Thames Water’s reputation.
Base Location: Mostly remote (occasional travel may be required)
What you should bring to the role
- Experience in customer-facing roles and delivering quality service. Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills across different stakeholders.
- Confidence working with data and interpreting written information.
- IT literate, comfortable with Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
