We are looking for a Bioresources Performance Analyst to join Thames Water on a permanent basis.

The Bioresources Performance Analyst is central to translating operational activity into performance reporting for Bioresources & IED (Industrial Emissions Directive)

The role delivers data-driven analysis to support decision-making and optimise the integrated business plan, combining strong analytics and modelling skills with effective stakeholder communication and support for PMO governance, monitoring, reporting, and information management.

What you will be doing as a Bioresources Performance Analyst?

  • Sourcing data and information: work with business data owners and workstream leads to efficiently and accurately collate data and information on performance, progress and benefits to feed into Bioresources reporting
  • Translating data: work with both financial and performance data to translate progress on Bioresources & IED activities and KPIs into regulatory performance metrics and financial impacts
  • Data Analytics and Modelling: Develop, refine, and validate analytical and reporting models to support the IED programme.
  • Ownership & Maintenance of the Model: Maintain a single common Bioresources performance and financial baseline and reporting data. Ensure the Bioresources model remains accurate, current, and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Data Quality of Model: Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high data integrity.
  • Data Reporting: Produce regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards (e.g., via Power BI) to communicate performance and investment insights.
  • Stakeholder & Communications Support: Assist with internal and external communications, ensuring clarity and timeliness of performance report updates.
  • Problem Solving Support: Provide ad hoc support in addressing issues and facilitating effective resolutions.

To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:

  • Reporting Tools: Proficiency with data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI).
  • Business Analysis: Strong analytical skills with a focus on process analysis and model development.
  • Data Analytics & Modelling: Expertise in quantitative analysis and model maintenance.
  • PMO & Administrative Expertise: Excellent organisational skills, experience in governance (secretariat support), and a track record in PMO functions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Finance & Performance Data: Familiarity with financial metrics and operational data in a regulated environment.
